Development Projects
Wilma Chan Park
Madison Park was recently renamed Wilma Chan Park, after the late Alameda County Supervisor. Wilma Chan had a length career advocating for health care, senior services, early childhood education, environmental health, jobs and economic development. The dedication resulting in new lighting for the park.
The park is a hub of activity. Mornings are filled with neighbors practicing Tai Chi. Afternoons the park is filled with students from AIM Charter School. Seniors spend their afternoons in the park, while City Health provides free Covid testing.
There are plans to remake the park with walking paths and new landscaping.
