Civil Sidewalks Committee 人行道整頓委員會

The Civil Sidewalks Committee oversees contracts relating to the provision of security services, including ambassador services to deescalate and defuse potential incidents of violence, and private security patrols, in addition maintenance services for public rights of way, including services relating to sidewalk cleaning, reporting of illegal dumping sites and infrastructure issues to 311, and power-washing.

The Committee also maintains relationships with law enforcement agencies, the City of Oakland’s Public Works Department, community ambassadors, volunteer foot patrols, and other groups and entities collectively dedicated to keeping Oakland Chinatown safe and clean.
